6 March 2025, the RSMA will support the Careers Evening in the Spring term and linked to this, and new for next year, the Association is offering alumni mentoring to help students focus efficiently on the transition from university to career.

Clem Centenery Dinner

In 2026, Clementine II (a 1926 Morris T-Type truck) will be 100 years old. Originally bought in 1960 to replace Clementine I, Clementine has served as the vehicular mascot of the RSM and has regularly attended student and external events to promote the university and its interests.

As was done when Jezebel and Boanerges, the mascots of the RCS and CGC respectively, reached this milestone, it is the intention of the RSMMC, the student group who maintains Clementine, to host a celebratory dinner near Clementine’s original workplace, Edgcote House, near Banbury in Oxfordshire. This will be open to all members of the RSM, RSMMC, and wider friends of these groups.

Initial plans are to host between 120 and 150 guests, who will be made up of students, alumni and staff. Ticket prices are being finalised, but preliminary costing are as follows:

·        Students: £45

·        Alumni: £95

·        Additional coach ticket: £35 (transport from Imperial’s South Kensington Campus to Edgcote)

Save the date: Bottle Match Weekend

The date has been fixed for the 2025 Bottle Match Weekend to be held at the Harlington Sports Ground near Heathrow Airport and at Ethos Sports Centre on Imperial’s South Kensington Campus (for badminton) on 21 and 22 February. 

The RSM Union is aiming to take 180 students (players + spectators). Sports covered over the weekend include rugby, men’s and women’s hockey, netball, football, tennis, badminton, squash and lacrosse.
